"Social Forum 2008" is expected to be a stimulating and educational discussion for its participants. AIMCAANA will proudly host this program in conjunction with DOW Graduate Association of North America (DOGANA) on Friday, June 27, 2008 from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM during APPNA Summer Meeting in Washington, DC.
The topic of discussion is "U.S.-Pakistan Ties: Friends or Foes?"
The luminaries expected to grace the program as discussants are:
Munir A. Malik, Former President of Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association.
Hussain Haqqani, Pakistani Ambassador to the U.S.A.
Talat Hussain, Executive Director of news and current affairs AAJ Television.
Lisa Curtis, Senior Research Fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
Dr. Kamran Asdar Ali, Associate Professor of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Studies at University of Texas, Austin. He will moderate the program.
We are thankful to Drs. Nasar Qureshi and Babar Cheema and their respective executive councils for their patronage. The members of the social committee that includes Khurram Nazir (Chair), Imran A. Mirza (Co-Chair), Abid Hussain, Asif Usman Malik, Israr Abassi, Mudassir Saleemi, and Asim Khokhar put up an untiring efforts in arranging this program.
